The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation is thrilled to continue our partnership with the Timmerman Traverse, an adventurous initiative that brings leaders and investors in biotech together to scale extraordinary heights.

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation held its Annual Breakfast at The Metropolitan Club in New York on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The event raised over $1.5 million to support promising early-career scientists pursuing innovative strategies to prevent, diagnose, and treat all forms of cancer.

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation’s Annual Breakfast was held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at the Metropolitan Club in New York City, and raised more than $1.5 million. Ken Langone, Chairman of Invemed Associates and Co-Founder of The Home Depot, was honored for his longstanding support of Damon Runyon and his shared commitment to investing in bold ideas with the potential to have transformational impact.

One of New York City’s most unique events, the Runyon 5K is a charitable run/walk that uses Yankee Stadium as its course. 100% of donations raised by participants directly support innovative young scientists funded by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. 

Unfortunately, the Runyon 5K will not take place in 2024. Thank you to all our loyal participants, volunteers, and donors for supporting brave and bold scientists who continue to make breakthroughs in every area of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.

The Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation's Fall Theater Benefit was held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, and featured a performance of Thornton Wilder‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, Our Town, starring four-time Emmy Award winner Jim Parsons and Katie Holmes.
